Bolt Threads develops fashion fibers and skincare products from sustainable sources including mycelium (mushrooms), bioengineered silk fibers, and silk proteins. Bolt Threads claims that its materials are safer and less destructive to the environment than traditional leather and petroleum-based fibers.
