Cadrenal Therapeutics

In April 2022, Cadrenal Therapeutics acquired the rights to tecarfarin, a candidate drug aimed at preventing systemic thromboembolism (blood clot formation) in patients with end-stage renal failure and atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat). Phase III clinical trials are expected to begin in the second half of 2023, and Cadrenal Therapeutics plans to raise funds for this program through an IPO.

Cadrenal Therapeutics has also licensed tecarfarin for several Asian markets, including China. Lee's Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, which has received the license, is conducting phase II trials to investigate tecarfarin's potential as a treatment for thrombosis in patients with mechanical heart valves.
