OpenAI is an AI research lab and company dedicated to developing artificial intelligence in ways that "benefit all of humanity." November 2022 saw the release of ChatGPT, which quickly became the most popular chatbot and generative AI tool, capable of producing a wide range of outputs from conversational responses to survey questions and resumes.
