About
The journey began in 2000 when Founder and CEO Eric Baker launched StubHub, the first online marketplace for secondary tickets, with a mission to bring liquidity, transparency, and trust to a traditionally opaque and inefficient industry. At the time, secondary ticketing was a fragmented, offline market largely untouched by technology or data—presenting complex challenges that required innovative solutions. Success in this space meant building a technology-driven marketplace where tickets could be dynamically sourced and priced, supporting all types of live events.
Today, the company operates what it believes to be the largest global secondary ticketing marketplace for live events. Its business model has achieved scale, demonstrated high growth, and generated substantial revenue, profit, and cash flow. The platform connects fans around the world with sellers who leverage the marketplace to efficiently price and distribute tickets. The global ticketing marketplace operates under two brands: StubHub in North America and viagogo internationally.
