About

The company is a holding entity that began its operations in China in 2017. In December 2020, Beijing Chagee Catering Management Co., Ltd. (“Beijing Chagee”) was established, and the company currently conducts all of its business in China through Beijing Chagee and its subsidiaries. A variable interest entity (VIE) structure is not used.

The company operates CHAGEE, a leading tea drinks brand. As of December 31, 2024, the CHAGEE brand was represented by a network of 6,440 teahouses, including 6,284 in China. This represents the largest store network among all premium freshly-made tea drinks brands in the country. The brand's presence also includes 156 teahouses across international markets.

CHAGEE was founded in 2017, inspired by the way international coffee chains transformed coffee consumption into a global lifestyle and social concept beginning in the 1970s. This model sparked the belief that tea drinking, too, could be reimagined. Leveraging technology and branding, the company set out to modernize tea culture and create a tea-drinking experience that connects people and cultures globally.

Nearly eight years after its founding, and driven by a deep commitment to technology and innovation, CHAGEE has emerged as China’s largest, fastest-growing, and most popular premium freshly-made tea drinks brand, according to iResearch. Since October 2023, it has ranked first on China’s social influence index among all freshly-made tea drinks brands, according to the Social Touch Search Engine.
