About

Accelerant Holdings operates a data-driven Risk Exchange that connects selected specialty insurance underwriters (the “Sellers” on the platform) with risk capital partners (the “Buyers” on the platform). The Accelerant Risk Exchange addresses information asymmetries and operational inefficiencies common in the traditional insurance value chain by leveraging proprietary technology to deliver actionable, high-fidelity data and insights to all participants.

The Risk Exchange simplifies a traditionally fragmented, costly, and inflexible insurance ecosystem. Legacy systems, excessive intermediation, and misaligned incentives often result in data leakage, elevated costs, and inefficiencies. Accelerant Holdings mitigates these issues by using its technology platform to directly connect specialty underwriters—typically managing general agents (referred to as “Members”)—with a broad range of risk capital providers, including insurers, reinsurers, and institutional investors (the “risk capital partners”).

By combining proprietary technology, deep data access, and extensive industry experience, Accelerant Holdings has built what it believes is the future marketplace for the specialty insurance industry. As of March 31, 2025, the platform included 232 Members and 96 risk capital partners. Since inception, the company has achieved a 217% compounded annual growth rate in Exchange Written Premium. While continued scaling is anticipated, Accelerant expects its annual growth rate to moderate as the business matures.
