About

Lendbuzz is a financial technology company that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to more effectively assess consumer credit risk and expand access to credit. The company processes large sets of data through advanced computational methods to more accurately predict consumer creditworthiness. Lendbuzz’s model benefits consumers by broadening access to credit and supports auto dealerships through increased vehicle sales.

The company was founded in 2015 by entrepreneurs who immigrated to the United States for graduate school. Upon their arrival, they were unable to access basic consumer credit products, such as credit cards and auto loans, due to their lack of U.S. credit history. Recognizing a significant market opportunity, and drawing on their expertise in financial services, computer science, and AI, they launched Lendbuzz with a focus on providing auto financing solutions for underserved populations.

Traditionally, obtaining an auto loan has been a paper-based process, with the level of complexity often tied to a consumer’s credit profile. Non-prime consumers, in particular, have historically faced lengthy and cumbersome application processes. Moreover, traditional underwriting methods frequently misprice individuals with limited or no credit history, resulting in higher interest rates and unattractive loan terms. This dynamic has negatively impacted both consumer experiences and dealership sales—challenges that Lendbuzz seeks to address.
