SmileCareClub at home invisible aligners are a series of tight-fitting, custom-made plastic aligners that gradually shift teeth into their desired position. The company has pioneered teledensitry by matching patient's with endorsed local SmileCareClub dental professionals in their area for virtual office visits to prescribe and oversee treatment. By removing constant office visits and utilizing emerging technology SmileCareClub is able to provide aligner therapy at less than half the price of traditional channels while still ensuring standard of care through their network of affiliated licensed dental professionals. The basic concept for SmileCareClub was envisioned by Jordan Katzman and Alex Fenkell In 2013, they teamed up with David Katzman and Doug Hudson to create SmileCareClub. The company is backed by Camelot Venture Group who has had success in disrupting other medical regulated spaces such at 1-800 Contacts and direct to consumer diabetes company Simplex Health Care. SmileCareClub CEO Doug Hudson who founded Simplex Health Care has also had success in the hearing aid space with his past company Hearing Planet which utilized a network of audiologist to bring hearing aids to the home.
