About the business

Holtec Nuclear Corp. is the IPO holding company for Holtec International, founded in 1986 by nuclear engineer Dr. Krishna P. Singh in Camden, New Jersey. The company is North America's only integrated nuclear-services provider that both supplies plant equipment and holds an operating reactor license: it controls roughly 75% of the U.S. dry spent-fuel storage market and over 90% of wet storage, serving more than 150 commercial reactors across five continents. Beyond fuel storage and transport, Holtec decommissions retired plants (Oyster Creek, Pilgrim, Indian Point, Big Rock Point) and is restarting the 800 MWe Palisades plant in Michigan — the first U.S. shutdown-to-restart in history — backed by a $300 million state grant and up to $1.52 billion in DOE loan guarantees. Palisades is also the planned site for two of the company's own SMR-300 small modular reactors (Generation III+, walk-away-safe design), expected online in the early 2030s; Holtec is the only SMR developer to win the DOE's Tier 1 First Mover Award (up to $400 million). Non-binding SMR-300 agreements are in place with EDF Energy in the UK and with Ukraine, with early discussions underway in Sweden, Finland, Turkey, Hungary and India. 2025 revenue was $576.6 million and net income $386.6 million (including one-time decommissioning-trust investment gains); the company holds 217 granted patents. IPO proceeds will fund a stake purchase in operating subsidiary Holtec International and support SMR-300 manufacturing plus new ventures such as the Holtec Green Boiler solar platform and HI-THERM thermal storage system.
