Weekly Market Recap: Five Biotechs Price in a $1.2 Billion Week

Braveheart Bio, Latigo, Attovia, BlossomHill and Vogenx all priced this week, plus SpaceX's first earnings report as a public company — week of August 3, 2026

Last week's IPO window featured three high-profile consumer and biotech debuts — Jersey Mike's, Reformation and Apnimed — covered in detail in our prior recap. This week (August 3–7, 2026) brought the busiest run of biotech IPO pricings so far in 2026, alongside continued SPAC issuance and a notable moment for a company that went public just two months ago.

This Week's Debuts

  • Attovia Therapeutics (ATTO) — priced Wednesday, 8/5, at $17.00 (upsized from a $15–$17 range), raising $289 million at an implied valuation near $731.5 million. The Goldman Sachs-backed biologics developer, which is testing therapies for inflammatory skin conditions and inflammatory bowel disease, closed its debut session up nearly 20%.
  • Vogenx (VOGX) — also priced 8/5, at $12.00 within its $11–$13 range, raising roughly $75 million (about $68 million net) to fund its metabolic-disorder drug candidate through 2028.
  • Braveheart Bio (BRVE) — priced Thursday, 8/6, at $18.00, upsized from an initial $15–$17 range and 18.7 million shares to 21.25 million shares, raising $382.5 million. The a16z-backed cardiovascular biotech, developing an oral therapy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy licensed from Hengrui, jumped as much as 68% intraday and closed its first session up roughly 65%.
  • BlossomHill Therapeutics (BLSM) — priced Friday, 8/7, at $16.00 (upsized from an original $112 million target to $150 million), funding its EGFR inhibitor for lung cancer.
  • Latigo Biotherapeutics (LTGO) — also priced 8/7, at $18.00 (upsized from a $16–$18 range on a smaller share count), raising $345.6 million for its non-opioid pain program.
  • Three SPACs priced alongside the operating companies: TCGX Acquisition Corp. (8/5), BOA Acquisition Corp. II (8/4) and ARC Group Securities Acquisition I (8/4), continuing the steady pace of blank-check issuance seen through most of 2026.

The Ongoing Story: Pre-IPO Access Keeps Expanding

The most notable pre-IPO development this week wasn't a new S-1 — it was a reminder of how much volatility can follow even a blockbuster listing. SpaceX, which priced its own IPO in June at $135 a share, posted its first earnings report as a public company this week, reporting a 92% revenue surge that beat expectations. Shares still came under pressure as the initial post-IPO lockup began to expire, letting early investors sell for the first time. It's a useful case study for anyone evaluating newly public, formerly pre-IPO names: strong fundamentals don't fully insulate a stock from mechanical selling pressure once lockups lift. Separately, Clear Street's newly launched pre-IPO platform — which debuted in late July giving accredited investors indirect access to Databricks (last valued near $188 billion) — continues to signal that private-market access is expanding well beyond the traditional IPO calendar, with plans to add up to 30 late-stage private companies by year-end.

What's Ahead Next Week

  • Web3Labs Global (MDAT) — targeting $28.1 million, priced at $4.00–$5.00, expected week of 8/10.
  • BW Industrial Holdings (BWGC) — targeting $17.1 million, priced at $6.00–$7.00, expected week of 8/10.
  • MetaOptics (uplisting to Nasdaq, MOT) — targeting $18.0 million, priced at $5.00–$7.00, expected week of 8/10.
  • Riku Dining Group (RIKU) — targeting $25.0 million, priced at $4.00–$6.00, expected week of 8/10.
  • Londian Wason New Energy Tech (FOIL) — targeting $75.0 million, priced at $20.00–$22.00, expected Wednesday, 8/12.

Next week's calendar is smaller and skews toward micro-cap and cross-border listings, a contrast to this week's run of $150 million-plus biotech deals. See our IPO Calendar for the full, continuously updated list.

Why It Matters for Pre-IPO and Tokenized Equity Investors

Five biotechs pricing in a single week, several of them upsized and trading up sharply on debut, is a signal that public-market investors currently have an appetite for clinical-stage risk — a read-through for which categories of still-private biotech companies might find a receptive window if they choose to list next. At the same time, SpaceX's lockup-driven pullback this week is a reminder that a successful IPO doesn't eliminate volatility; it can simply shift when that volatility shows up. And platforms like Clear Street's, extending indirect pre-IPO access to companies like Databricks, are part of a broader trend of private-market exposure becoming available before a company ever files an S-1.
