About

Black Rock Coffee Bar is a coffee chain operating in seven Western U.S. states, with 158 locations as of June 30, 2025. The company runs both drive-thru and sit-in coffee bars offering a variety of caffeinated beverages.

Founded in 2008 inside a 160-square-foot drive-thru in Beaverton, Oregon, Black Rock Coffee Bar has grown significantly while maintaining its company-owned model. At present, the company does not offer franchise opportunities, and all locations are owned and operated by Black Rock Coffee Bar.

Digital – For the three months ended June 30, 2025, digital sales accounted for 15% of store revenue, reflecting that Black Rock Coffee Bar’s digital strategy remains in its early stages. Mobile ordering helps reduce wait times, increase throughput, and highlight trending items both in-store and in the app.

Loyalty – Since launching in June 2024, Black Rock Coffee Bar has gained more than 1.8 million loyalty members. Guests visit 129% more often after enrolling in the loyalty program, based on a review of the transaction history of approximately 1,200 loyalty members in the 90 days before and after joining. This increased engagement drives higher visit frequency and larger check sizes.
